October 2003 was the 21st annual Oktoberfest at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
These pictures are of the Umpa band, food, and auctions.
One big event of the day was the Silent Auction.
There were 130 items on the table this year. 30 Dinners, 7 nights at a local hotel, 12 home items, 22 Golf outings 22 Baked Goods, and much more. Click here to see the whole list.
If you thought the the bids changed fast on E-bay, our auction was more active.
These were two displays for one week vacation trips to be auctioned in the live auction. Destination Park City, Utah and Cayman Islands.
Pastor Rockey doing three things at once. Babysitting, silent auction, and communication. Unknown to everyone, including Pastor Rockey, he would be moving on to another church in Florida. Hence anything that he purchased, we would be packing for him in two more months.
For our entertainment, the Gerst Haus Umpa Band played again this year.
When the Umpa band started to play, Richard & Faye started to dance.
Plenty to eat for everyone. Of course Sauerkraut was included.
The Live Auction Began.
Items auctioned were: Foursome at the Brentwood Country Club, Opryland Hotel for one night for 2, dinner at Arthur's in Union Station, a week in Park City, Utah and a week in the Cayman Islands.
The auction started with a favorite. Vernon Morehead will come to your house and cook a dinner. Bidding was very heavy and Vernon's food was very much in demand.
