Our Mission
Congregational Purpose:

Our Mission:

We exist as a church to call and equip people to active discipleship for Christ in our congregation and the world around us.

Our Vision:

To be an active, growing, praying, congregation, bringing the individual members into closer relationship with Jesus Christ, and, reaching out with the Gospel and loving service to the needs of our members, our community and the world.

Interpretation:

Active Congregation:    A membership that worships and receives Holy Communion regularly, that is involved in Sunday school, Bible Class and Bible Study other than Sunday School, that is involved in outreach and service activities, and participates regularly in various fellowship opportunities.

Growing Congregation:    Increasing numerically and spiritually.

Bringing Individual Members Into A Closer Relationship With Jesus Christ:    Through preaching, teaching, Bible study, spiritual gift analysis and training, discipleship training, personal counseling, etc. helping each member find his/her place in the Kingdom of God.

Reaching Out With The Gospel:    Committing a growing percentage of our time, talents and resources in the spreading of the Good News of Jesus Christ in our immediate neighborhood, in Nashville and Middle Tennessee and throughout the world.

Reaching Out in Loving Service:    Seeking out those in our membership, those in our neighborhood, city and county, and those in the world at large who are hurting or otherwise in need and committing a growing percentage of our time, talents and resources ministering to those needs.
